Eagle Lake now a Gig Town with new fiber network

EAGLE LAKE — A “Gig Town” event will be held Nov. 15 in Eagle Lake to celebrate the community’s connection to high-speed fiber internet access.
Consolidated Communications, through its Fidium Fiber service, has completed installing an all-fiber network to serve the 1,100 homes and businesses in Eagle Lake.
Gig Towns are communities with broad access to multi-gigabit fiber internet.
