Promising results at Minnesota’s Tamarack nickel deposit

6 Apr 2021

Recently-released drilling results from Talon Metals Corp. show that Minnesota’s Tamarack deposit contains much more nickel, copper, cobalt, and other essential metals in the deposit than previously believed.

The table below, from a Talon Metals slideshow, shows the new drilling results have boosted the expected nickel production from the mine from 86,000 metric tons over an eight-year mine life to 112,000 metric tons over a nine-year mine life, an increase of 30 percent. Copper production is now expected to be 68,600 metric tons, instead of 48,900 metric tons, a 40 percent increase.
