Grand Rapids Herald-Review: Women Empow(HER) camps allow young women to try out the trades

Earlier in June, Women empower(her) camps took place at Minnesota North, Hibbing, and Eveleth college campuses.
These camps serve purpose through empowering young girls, ages 14-17, to try out the trades. Angela, who is the director of Women empower(her) said, “This is the third year we have been able to provide these camps for young girls. In the future, we are hoping to provide additional classes for adult women to come in and try something new that they may have never gotten a chance to before. We are also looking to spread to more schools and locations to allow more opportunities to girls in surrounding areas.”
