The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently helped United Prairie Bank celebrate 100 years of banking.
The New Ulm location originated as Klossner State Bank in 1919. The United Prairie Bank organization was born in 1973 when former President, Jim Sneer, bought Farmers State Bank of Mountain Lake. Some years later he began to acquire other banks and, in 1992, he changed their names to United Prairie Bank.
