Grand Rapids Herald Review: Learning through adventure and play: Roots & Wings to open nature-based early learning center spring of 2026

Roots & Wings Early Learning Center, LLC, affectionately called “The Mustard Seed” by owners Rob and Krista Sjostrand, is set to open spring of 2026.

The project was planted in their hearts a little over 3 years ago. After COVID, when the world went a little sideways, the Sjostrands felt the urge to do something more for the community and their family.

Rob and Krista’s professional backgrounds combined, are excellent for this specific project. Rob has an extensive background in business, supply chain management and all things outdoors. Krista’s educational background consists of more than 25 years of experience. She has a particular passion for young learners. She is the hands-on director of Roots & Wings.
