East Central Energy Connects Rural Communities through ECE Fiber

Early in 2025, East Central Energy celebrated its first anniversary of ECE Fiber, an initiative to connect its members to high-speed fiber internet. Since its inception in January 2024, ECE Fiber has increased member fiber connections from 12 to more than 4,000 through more than $38 million in awarded grant funding!

Crucial internet access delivered by ECE Fiber

ECE is dedicated to improving members' lives and expanding its legacy with fiber internet, with ECE Fiber mirroring its 1936 initiative to deliver electric service. Two years ago, construction for a main fiber line began in 2023 and ECE has been working consistently to extend it throughout its entire service area.
