Top Talent, Workforce Incentives Spur Expansion In Minnesota

Minnesota is home to one of the country’s most talented workforces. That’s no accident – it comes from years of investments by public and private sector leaders in education and training. The state ranks among the top in the country for high school graduation rates and total labor force participation (3.1 million or 68.3%, 2023). Minnesota’s government, businesses and educational institutions frequently work together to strengthen the talent pipeline, as well.
Incentives Support Expansions And New Jobs In Minnesota
In December 2024, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) announced seven expansions made possible with assistance from state investment, such as the Job Creation Fund (JCF). JCF provides financial incentives to new and expanding businesses that meet job creation and capital investment targets. Eligible companies may receive up to $2 million for creating or retaining high-paying jobs, constructing or renovating facilities, or making other property improvements.
