Here at Great River Energy, we know how important it is to be forward-thinking and innovative for our members. That’s why we actively participate in legislative and regulatory processes – state and federal – on behalf of our members.

How is Great River Energy involved in key legislative and regulatory processes?

By consistently surveying and checking in with our members, we’re able to measure opinions on important energy issues, identify expectations and better understand member views. In a recent survey, members told us that increasing renewable energy and keeping costs as low as possible were their two top priorities. Additionally, members were supportive of the use of renewables for the majority of our energy supply and working to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, in line with the state of Minnesota’s goal of 90% reduction by 2035.

With this information, we are able to create a sound position on key energy legislation and initiatives, continuing to deliver on our promise to provide affordable and reliable energy to our members. You can learn more about our legislative involvement here.
