The Business Expansion Loan Program allows rural utility service borrowers to fund new commercial and industrial projects in their area. The program primarily services major startup expenses such as land acquisition that create at least 500 kilowatts of new electrical demand.
The Business Expansion Loan Program helps initiate large projects
Borrowers may not use the loan to refinance other loans, but can purchase land or file regulatory approvals, fund construction costs or acquire additional equipment. The loan will cover up to 50% of all project costs with interest rates as low as 0.0%.
