Finance and Commerce: Boston Scientific plans $170M expansion in Maple Grove

Boston Scientific is the mystery company behind an ambitious plan to build a $170 million facility in Maple Grove, a project that will significantly expand the medical technology company’s presence in the city and create more than 175 new jobs.
The proposed expansion, which has been going through the city approval process under the code name “Project Black Bear,” calls for 400,000 square feet of new research and development labs, office support areas and training spaces, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
