East Central Energy is officially entering the broadband business.
During its Thursday, Oct. 27 regular meeting, ECE’s Board of Directors unanimously approved a resolution for the cooperative to expand into high-speed internet service.
“The board’s decision comes after nearly a year of hard work, including grant applications, a feasibility study, meetings with local entities, additional research, and learning from other co-ops that offer broadband,” said Vice President/Chief Information Officer Ty Houglum.
