City of Currie awarded $158,991 zero-interest loan for new fire hall

CURRIE — The city of Currie was recently given a zero-percent interest loan of $158,991 to build a new fire hall, through Nobles Cooperative Electric and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. It is available for those who apply through a Rural Utilities Service borrower, such as NCE.
