Home building created nearly 2,000 jobs and a $235 million local impact in 2018

ST. CLOUD — Residential building in the St. Cloud area created nearly 2,000 jobs worth more than $235 million last year, according to the Central Minnesota Builders Association.
A total of 1,067 units were permitted in the St. Cloud area in 2018, up nearly one third compared to the previous year. The 2018 total unit count includes 443 single-family detached units, 42 attached single-family units and 582 multi-family units.
