An entity related to BioMADE — an organization dedicated to enhancing U.S. biomedical competitiveness and expanding the biomanufacturing workforce — has closed on the site of its future $132 million manufacturing facility in Maple Grove.

BioMADE Meridian LLC, of Emeryville, California, paid $16.5 million for the building at 7500 Meridian Circle N., according to a certificate of real estate value made public in mid-April. The seller is MNJV Meridian LLC, an entity related to Minnetonka-based Onward Investors.

As part of its planned expansion in Maple Grove, BioMADE wants to build out space within the existing 122,400-square-foot building at 7500 Meridian Circle N., as Finance & Commerce reported in February.
