MN Association of Professional County Economic Developers

As County Economic Development Professionals, our purpose is to promote the role of counties in fostering economic growth, an expanded tax base, and to enhance quality of life.

How are we working to fulfill our mission?

• We gather, study, and disseminate facts and information which lead to the development of a comprehensive legislative program that will be helpful to decision makers in the enactment and implementation of sound public policy regarding economic development
• We adopt position statements on issues affecting job creation and tax policy relating to economic development
• We enhance knowledge, skills, and visibility of county economic development professionals
• We provide for information exchange and networking among county economic professional that will foster creative solutions for the implementation and coordination of programs and the judicious use of resources
• We work to remove barriers that prohibit or restrict counties from active participation in economic development
• We develop educational programs that foster understanding as it relates to county economic development
• We develop educational programs that foster understanding as it relates to county economic development
• We maintain an affiliation with the Association of Minnesota Counties through utilization of staff and resources to achieve the aforementioned purposes.
