Great River Energy and its 27 member-owner cooperatives believe that when communities work together, we all do better. Which is why we’re committed to providing a strong foundation for the communities we serve by powering them with affordable, reliable, cleaner electricity. Beyond that, we’re focused on our social responsibility.
Electric cooperatives support their communities
We want to be the best neighbors we can be. And with that comes great responsibility. We’re focused on providing support in a few key areas:
- Community giving: Raising funds and volunteering with local nonprofits, or supporting important community causes — we want to give back to the communities we live in.
- Supporting local economies: Spending millions on local purchases, supporting the expansion of and building of businesses, and creating jobs, we invest in our local economy because we want to see it grow.
- Taking care of employees: Our employees are our greatest assets. Creating a culture that supports them and their families is so important. After all, they’re members too.
- Future focus. The world is ever changing, and we’re focused on changing with it. We want to successfully support our member-owner cooperatives as needs change.
