WASHINGTON, D.C. — Itasca County has been awarded $190,000 to hire an economic recovery coordinator to help boost economic development in the county.

The funds, which were awarded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, were announced by Congressman Pete Stauber, as well as U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith.

In a press release by Stauber’s office, he says the investment will go a long way toward unleashing the economic engine in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District.
