A new DEED grant intends to help labor-strapped manufacturers employ more robots in their companies.
Central McGowan Vice President and General Manager of Automation Pete Rogers said automation implementation has been undergoing a big shift; previously, it was mainly large manufacturers with the resources to automate, but that has tricked down to small facilities. For example, Central McGowan has provided automation to a husband-wife team whose first employee was a robot.
