Heavy duty EV charging locations are necessary for large-scale fleet electrification. Great River Energy has identified shovel-ready sites in Minnesota that are ideal for heavy duty charging and can be served by the organization’s low-cost and renewable energy solutions.

Distribution companies such as Amazon and FedEx are looking to electrify their fleets over the next decade or sooner. Smaller and midsize distribution companies are also making this move and require heavy duty EV charging locations. “To support this transition and shorten speed-to-market, Great River Energy has identified several shovel-ready real estate options in Minnesota with robust infrastructure, fluid access to multi-modal transportation networks, and other characteristics positioning them well to support electric fleet operations,” said Erin Sparks, Economic Development Lead.

Many of these sites, like the Interstate Business Park, offer direct access to the interstate, making it easy to leave the interstate to charge the truck and get back on as soon as charging is complete. “We understand that time is of the essence and it is important for vehicles to be charged quickly. GRE has the sites and the energy solutions to make this possible,” siad Sparks.
