Governor’s International Trade Awards Luncheon: Honoring Global Excellence
The Minnesota Trade Office is delighted to invite you to join Governor Tim Walz and Commissioner Steve Grove, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, at a luncheon event to honor this year’s recipients of the Governor’s International Trade Awards. Traditionally, these awards recognize Minnesota companies that have shown exceptional progress and success in exports to foreign markets, as well as foreign-owned companies that have made significant economic contributions through their investments in the state.
Minnesota exports and foreign investment play an important role in the state’s economic growth. In 2018, exports of manufactured goods, services and agricultural commodities to foreign countries accounted for $33 billion in revenue and tens of thousands of jobs statewide. In addition, there are more than 900 foreign-owned businesses located across the state representing almost 40 countries, and these businesses employ nearly 128,000 Minnesotans.
Please join us at this celebration of the recipients of the Governor’s International Trade Awards and overall recognition of the tremendous positive impact that globally engaged Minnesota and foreign-owned businesses have on the state’s economy!
